Where do Your Butterflies Come From?

All butterflies for butterfly releases come from a butterfly farmer or butterfly breeder. Butterfly farmers and butterfly breeders raise all of their butterflies on their farm.

Much time and effort and care is taken when raising your butterflies. The caterpillars must all be fed daily. Butterfly farmers and butterfly breeders work seven days a week.

But regardless of the size of the butterfly farm, all of the butterflies from butterfly farmers and butterfly breeders are raised with much care. Association for Butterflies (AFB) and Mississippi State University have teamed up to bring a basic Diagnostic Butterfly Disease Screening Program at a reduced cost to it’s members so Association for Butterflies members can be assured they are raising the best quality butterflies for butterfly releases at all times.
