Symposium 2009 – Townsend Tennessee
A butterfly symposium for butterfly farmers and butterfly breeders was held by the Association for Butterflies in Townsend, Tennessee.
The symposium was preceded by a seminar on Friday which taught the basics of butterfly farming; how to set up a farm, basic rearing information, marketing, breeding butterflies, and more.
The symposium was held all day Saturday and Sunday until noon. Topics ranged from: eliminating thrip, how to grow common milkweed, setting up a butterfly exhibits, butterfly diseases, and more. Friday evening the butterflies met to eat barbecue and get to chat, discuss butterflies, and get to know each other.
