Painted Lady Butterfly Basic Course Outline:
Introduction

This is a five week course that will take you through the complete life cycle of the Painted Lady butterfly, from a caterpillar through its lifecycle to the caterpillar stage again. You will be raising your own caterpillars during this course. You are expected to purchase at least thirty (30) caterpillars. You need to obtain the supplies listed below. Many of these items may be found around your house. You need to locate and gather everything on the list before your caterpillars arrive. You will be expected to keep a daily journal of their progress once your caterpillars arrive. You will receive, by email, your course for each week. Each Friday a question and answer/ problem solving /discussion and comparison chat list will be held. During the chat you are expected to present problems you may have encountered and ask questions that may have risen during your week. Each week you will receive a list of terms. If the definitions are not in the course, you will be required to conduct research for their definitions. The terms with their definitions are to be turned into the instructor before or on Thursday of each week. Homework is due each Friday. You must finish all homework, turn it in, raise your caterpillars through a full cycle, and take and turn in any and all tests to receive credit for this course
