State Butterflies
Beginning in 1972 when California named the California Dogface Butterfly their state butterfly, other states have followed suit. Now most states have a butterfly that is considered the official state butterfly or in some cases the official state insect. Therefore, no matter which state you live in, you can usually observe butterflies
and more often than not, you can observe the official butterfly of your state.
" Butterfly Watching " is a fantastic way to open your eyes to the beauty of nature that is all around you.
Happy Watching.
